Marc Marquez: “Arm still immobilized but I have hope”
Almost a month ago the fourth operation on the right arm
Nearly a month after his fourth operation on his right arm, Marc Marquez has returned to talk about his health condition with an update on his Box Repsol blog.
“The idea of having to have another operation had been there since September 2021, but I was convinced I could make it and race for the whole season,” explained the Honda rider himself. “But then the decisive moment was around the French GP, when we prepared a 3D CT scan and decided to have another operation.
“Now I feel pretty good, I don’t feel pain, although I still have my arm immobilized,” Marc added. “Because of my riding style, I couldn’t see myself riding for a long time, maybe a year or two. But after the surgery in Rochester there is now hope that I can continue to ride without pain and have fun on the bike.”
Marquez then closed with a message for the fans, “I thank you again for the support I get from all of you-I promise I will do everything I can to compete again and enjoy good times together.”
