F1, even Verstappen distances himself from Nelson Piquet
Verstappen distances himself
Despite the fact that we are approaching the British GP, scheduled for Sunday, July 3, at the Silverstone circuit, the words, considered racist, of Nelson Piquet about Lewis Hamilton are still holding sway.
During the first day at the British track, world champion Max Verstappen, fiancé of the former Brazilian driver’s daughter, also spoke about it: “In general, I think racism is there all over the world, not only in Formula 1. It is not correct to use these words, but I think nowadays the issue starts with education, from a very young age. At home and at school, it has to be taught that these kinds of things cannot be said or used in general. Of course, Formula 1 and Lewis Hamilton are working on this for the future. And all the drivers agree with them, we are all against racism.”
