Spezia, new coach official
He takes the place of Thiago Motta
It was no longer a secret, but now it is official. Luca Gotti is the new coach of Spezia, which had parted ways with Thiago Motta in recent days.
This is the communiqué from the Ligurian club: “Luca Gotti will be the new coach of the Eagles, which he will lead for the next two seasons – thus the note that traces his career up to the bench of Udinese -. A two-year period full of satisfaction that brings Gotti up to Spezia, where surprising is now almost the norm. Welcome Mister.”
Gotti’s experience with Udinese, which began as Igor Tudor’s deputy, had ended with his exoneration last December 7. Before the Friulians he had worked with Roberto Donadoni at Cagliari, Parma and Bologna, then at Chelsea with Maurizio Sarri, winning a Europa League.
