Wimbledon, Novak Djokovic doesn’t stop: another show of strength
Nole qualifies for the round of 16
No problem for Novak Djokovic in the third round of the Wimbledon tournament: in the Serbian derby against Miomir Kecmanovic, Nole dominated from start to finish, closing 6-0, 6-3, 6-4 in just under two hours of play.
“I suffered in the second set, although the score seemed more balanced in the third,” he commented after the match. “I want to thank the crowd for the support. I was really strong at the beginning also thanks to the fans. Miomir? I know him well because we train together, I wish him the best and I hope we can play on center court in the future as well.”
So far Djokovic has dropped just one set on the road, compared to the nine he won to get through each of the first three rounds of the men’s tournament on London’s grass.In the round of 16, Nole will face Tim van Rijthoven, world No. 104, who in the early rounds beat in order a top 100 player such as Federico Delbonis and the likes of Reilly Opelka (No. 18 Atp) and Nikoloz Basilashvili (No. 26).
