NBA, Zion Williamson stays with Pelicans for $231 million
The former Duke man, in the last period, has been dealing with several physical problems
Now there is no longer any doubt. Zion Williamson’s future will, as reported by ESPN, still be in New Orleans. The No. 1 pick in the 2019 NBA Draft has signed with the Pelicans: a five-year deal for the monstrous sum of $231 million total (salary cap).
Vanish, therefore, all the rumors that wanted the former Duke possible starter. The New Orleans franchise has decided to bet big on Zion Williamson. The present and the future of the Pelicans is in the hands of Zion Williamson (coming off a period in which he had several physical problems, the latest injury concerns foot issues). Having signed his contract, he is looking forward to returning to play in New Orleans.
