Wimbledon, Carlos Alcaraz no-holds-barred on Jannik Sinner
One champion taking his hat off to another.
Jannik Sinner beat Carlos Alcaraz in a clash between two of the best prospects in international tennis. Their match at Wimbledon rewarded the South Tyrolean, who was able to beat him in four sets (6-1, 6-4, 6-7, 6-3) by clinching the quarterfinals of the London Slam. He is the youngest to push this far ahead at his age since 2014. And his opponent also decided to honor him at the end of the day.
“Jannik was the better tennis player, and he deserved to win,” Alcaraz indeed wrote on his Twitter profile, “Good luck for the rest of the tournament, Jannik Sinner! I will go home eager to work on improving myself, and enjoy more moments like this!”
