At Silverstone for redemption after the first zero of the year

The frightening accident that happened to Guanyu Zhou last Sunday at Silverstone left everyone in shock, such as George Russell who had immediately gone to check on his condition.

The British Mercedes driver came back to talk about it in the Thursday press conference before the Austrian GP: “Seeing the red flag and that terrifying accident, I had the natural reaction to get out of the car,” said Russell, who was hoping for a good race. “There is a bit of frustration because we could have done a good result.

“We must not get carried away by what happened, we had good potential at Silverstone. This circuit is different, it has medium-speed corners,” Russell said about the Red Bull Ring. “In Britain we took a step in the right direction and we’ll see how it goes.
