F1: Lewis Hamilton-Red Bull, frost falls again
Continued sparks between Hamilton and Red Bull
More sparks in Austria between Lewis Hamilton and Red Bull. After the back-and-forth with Max Verstappen over Charles Leclerc’s overtaking of the Copse at Silverstone, this time the focus of discussion is Mercedes’ race strategy at the English track, with Red Bull team principal Christian Horner criticizing the decision to mount hard tires in the last stint: “At that moment they let up on the Ferrari.”
This was Hamilton’s brusque response, “I don’t care what that man says, according to the data we had available the soft compound would not have made it to the end of the race. I would definitely have had great speed in the first few laps, but then in the end of the race the tires would have presented the bill.”
