Gregorio Paltrinieri pulls off another feat
Success in the Paris leg of the World Series
He has no intention of quitting. After his successes at the World Championships in Budapest, Gregorio Paltrinieri wins again. His is the second leg of the World Series of cross-country swimming in Paris.
The 27-year-old Italian, a gold medalist in the 10 km at the World Championships, ran a perfect race always at the head of the pack, then breaking away from everyone about 500 meters from the finish line. Behind Paltrinieri were two Hungarians: Kristof Rasovszky and David Betlehem.
New success thus for the Carpi swimmer, who in addition to gold in the 10 km at the World Championships had won silver in the 5 km and bronze in the 4×1.5 km relay. Gold then in the pool in the 1,500-meter freestyle.
