Matteo Politano’s situation at Napoli is rather complicated: the player, through his agent, has made it clear that he wants a change of scenery but at the moment there are no clubs ready to invest in him.
Gennaro Gattuso would like to re-embrace him but, as is well known, Valencia cannot afford to buy without selling first and at the moment there is no activity on the disposals front. Milan has timidly probed the ground but the Rossoneri’s priorities are other at the moment.
Luciano Spalletti recently commented on the matter this way, “It’s a situation that the player himself has created, we’ll see what happens. Which team guarantees you a starting role? In the Champions League level it is very difficult.”
