Tour de France, Bob Jungels takes the ninth stage

The ninth stage of the Tour de France 2022 is won solo by Bob Jungels. In fact, the 29-year-old Luxembourger of Ag2r beat everyone to the finish line in Chatel les Portes du Soleil.
The stage that started in Aigle had four mountain grand prix. Behind Jungels, Spaniards Jonathan Castroviejo (Ineos) and Carlos Verona (Movistar). Fourth was Thibaut Pinot, fifth at 49″ yellow jersey Tadej Pogacar ahead of his GC rivals.
The Slovenian of UAE Team Emirates thus retains the lead with 39″ over Jonas Vingegaard (Jumbo-Visma). Then the two Ineos: Geraint Thomas third at 1’17” and Adam Yates fourth at 1’25”. After the rest, the Tour will return Tuesday with stage 10.
