Happy Casa Brindisi has announced that it has signed a multi-year agreement with Italian-trained Estonian outfielder Joonas Riismaa.

Class of 2002, he acquired the Italian training distinguishing himself among the juniors of Mens Sana Siena and Pistoia Basket Academy. It was in Pistoia that he made the jump to the first team, starring in the last two sports seasons in Legadue. In 2021 he won the A2 Supercup averaging 11 points and 5.3 rebounds, and in the year just ended with Game 5 of the playoff semifinals, he confirmed double-figure scoring in an average of 25 minutes per game.

Performances that earned him a call-up to the senior national team, making his debut in February with Estonia in an official match for the 2023 World Cup Qualifiers, after participating in the European Championships in the Under 16, 18 and 20 leagues.
