F1: Ferrari, more bad news comes for Carlos Sainz
Carlos Sainz’s engine would be unrecoverable: if confirmed, he will start from the bottom in France
More trouble coming for Carlos Sainz, who was forced to retire during the Austrian Grand Prix after his Ferrari’s power unit failed at the Red Bull Ring when he had Max Verstappen in his sights for second place.
The Spanish driver will most likely have to start from the back of the grid in the French Grand Prix at Paul Ricard: according to rumors reported by Marca, his single-seater’s engine is now unrecoverable and a fourth power unit will be fitted to the car, resulting in a penalty.
According to the Iberian newspaper, in fact, the power units already replaced, which are at their limit as mileage, will not be used.
