Richter will have to undergo surgery
Hertha Berlin’s 24-year-old striker Marco Richter is forced to stop: during pre-season medical tests, he was diagnosed with testicular cancer.
The boy, as the capital club specified, will have to undergo surgery. “Hertha BSC received sad news ahead of the trip to England,” a note read. “Marco Richter will be temporarily unavailable: urological examinations revealed a testicular tumor, which will have to be surgically removed. The club will update fans on Marco’s progress when more information is known. Until then, we ask that privacy be respected.”
