Migross Supermarkets Asiago Hockey has new forward, he is Nicholas Porco who will wear the yellow and red jersey number 7 for the next four seasons.

“Nick” Porco is a 183 cm by 82 kg forward, born in Sault Ste. Marie in Ontario on March 12, 2001. Nick’s father is a cousin of John Parco, considered on par with an uncle by the new atellato forward, who trains every summer with our former captain and coach. John in Asiago wrote wonderful pages of our club’s History, winning titles both as a player and in the role of coach.

Nicholas in 2017 was selected as the 4th overall pick in the Ontario Hockey League draft by the Saginaw Spirit with whom he will play until October 2019. In the summer of 2019 also comes the call from the Dallas Stars, who select him in the 5th round draft as the 142nd overall pick. In the fall of 2019 he switched to the Barrie Colts, with whom he played 36 games before being cut short due to covid. The 2020/21 OHL season is skipped entirely, again due to the pandemic, and so Nick gets a chance to sample professional field hockey with the Texas Stars in the AHL, also playing with Adam Mascherin.

Last season the return to the OHL to play with the Barrie Colts, first, and then the Owen Sound Attack.

In total in the OHL he played 233 games, scoring 115 points, including 59 goals and 56 assists.
