Budapest: Martina Trevisan and Elisabetta Cocciaretto’s adventure stops at the quarters
Setback for Martina
The Hungarian Grand Prix in Budapest, a WTA 250 tournament, has to say goodbye to the second seeded favorite, Martina Trevisan. The Italian, in fact, had to surrender to the lesser-ranked Hungarian tennis player, Anna Bondar, ninth seed on the scoreboard and number 53 in the WTA ranking, with a score of 6-4 6-1, in one hour and three quarters of play.
Martina, however, will be able to redeem herself soon: the WTA 250 in Palermo begins on Saturday with a luxury draw, full of important tennis players, in which she is the number 1 seed.
Nothing to do also for Elisabetta Cocciaretto on the Magyar clay: 6-4, 6-3 to Bernarda Pera.
