Ducati-Valentino Rossi, towards an early farewell: Dall’Igna’s words
Valentino Rossi’s team may move to Yamaha in 2024
Confirmations are growing about a possible early farewell between Valentino Rossi’s VR46 team and Ducati at the end of 2023. According to rumors, starting in 2024, the Doctor’s team could become a satellite team of Yamaha, which will instead remain without private teams in MotoGp in the 2023 World Championship.
Also speaking about the situation was Ducati’s general manager, Gigi Dall’Igna, to Speedweek: “At the moment we have a contract with the VR46 team until 2024 and we are quite happy with the collaboration. We think VR46 is quite satisfied with the current results. But you never know. It will also be unusual for me not to see a private Yamaha team in the field in 2023.”
