Another Italian finds place in an NBA franchise
The Italian group in the NBA is growing again. As reported by ESPN, Fontecchio’s move to the Utah Jazz is now certain. Terms of the deal were also revealed with the Italian signing a two-year contract for $6.25 million total.
Born in 1995, the Italian national is coming off an excellent season at Baskonia where he scored an average of 11.9 points per game, shooting 41 percent from the arc. Fontecchio will work under the orders of Hardy, the Jazz’s new coach. Utah, in fact, has overhauled its roster and is aiming for a season of redemption. Also helping out will be Italian Fontecchio.
