Dybala reveals the backstory

Paulo Dybala spoke to Roma’s official channels on his first day as a Giallorossi player.

“We all know Mourinho, for what he represents in the world of soccer, for what he has done and what he will do. His calls excited me, we talked for a long time. I played with the best in the history of soccer and today I can work with one of the strongest coaches in the history of soccer,” the former Juventus number 10 told.

Dybala then spoke about the choice on the jersey number: “I spoke with the director: he had proposed me to wear number 10, I know it is very important here for Totti. I think that number and that jersey should still be his because of what it represents. I said thank you, to wear a jersey like that you need respect and responsibility, that is still his jersey. Maybe one day I will be able to wear it, but today I keep 21 which is an important number with which I started to win and I hope to do it here as well.”
