Virtus Pallacanestro Bologna S.p.A. announced that it has reached an agreement with Gabriel Lundberg.

Lundberg was born in Copenhagen on December 4, 1994. A 193cm guard, he began his career in Denmark first with the Falcons, then with the Copenhagen Wolfpack and then from 2015 to 2017 at Horsens IC: with the latter he won a Danish Championship and a Danish Cup. In 2017, he left his homeland to move to Spain: two seasons in Manresa first and then in Tenerife, where, in February 2020, he won the Intercontinental Cup precisely against the HCL. In the 2020/21 season he wore the jersey of Zielona Gora, Poland, with which he won a Polish Championship, with the title of MVP, ending the season with an average of 20 points per game. In the following season, the move to CSKA Moscow: with the Russian team he won a Supercup and the Championship in 2021 in addition to playing the Euroleague for two years with an average of 10 points. In the second part of last season his move to the NBA, to the Phoenix Suns, thus becoming the first Danish player to sign a contract overseas.
