Matteo Berrettini enjoys the final he centered in Gstaad, the result of a dominant performance against former world No. 3 Dominic Thiem.
“The more you play the better you feel. Today was undoubtedly the best match of the week, I knew I had to play at this level to beat him. Everything was better than on Friday, I really enjoyed it.”
On Sunday he will face the winner of the second semifinal between Ramos and Ruud: “It will be tough, I was just thinking that all the four semifinalists in this tournament are former champions. Me in 2018, Ramos in 2019, Ruud 2021 and Thiem in 2015. Maybe we like the altitude,” Berrettini concluded.
