Vincenzo Italiano, clear ideas on Nikola Milenkovic
Inter and Juve are warned: the coach is not resigned to losing the Serbian.
Speaking to the microphones of Viola Channel at the end of the friendly match won 4-0 against Triestina – which closed the Viola retreat in Moena, Val di Fassa – Vincenzo Italiano did not limit himself to talking only about the fruitful days of work in the Trentino resort, intervening also on the many market rumors that would like Nikola Milnekovic, one of the pillars of the Viola defense, to leave. Interest from Juventus and Inter has long insisted on the Serbian player, but the coach hopes to be able to count on his defender in the coming weeks as well.
“We conclude a retreat in which we loaded a lot: the balance is positive. From now on we will be more involved on the defensive phase, also because of the higher level of the opponents. Each of us will have to raise the bar and improve,” the coach began.
“Milenkovic? I hope to have him with me in the future as well. To enter so sharply into our idea of soccer as he did was difficult. If there will be another player it will take time. We are talking about a level player, he will make the World Cup, so I hope to have him with us again,” he concluded.
