Marco Silvestri stays where he is

Speaking to Udinese TV Marco Silvestri spoke this way about the feelings after the first days of the retreat: “With coach Sottil we are working very well, there is great enthusiasm from all of us and all the staff, we have to continue in this way to learn the coach’s idea of soccer in the best possible way and transfer it on the field as soon as possible.”

The goalkeeper has no doubts about his future: “In Udine I feel great and I am totally focused on Udinese. The injury was hard, I lived three months with the hernia and it was tough, then we decided for the operation at the end of May, before the last league game. Now I’m very happy with how I came back.”

“Against AC Milan it will be a great match against the defending champions in a full San Siro: it will be a start with a bang, we hope to be well physically and arrive at 100 percent to start the season well. It will be a good confrontation with Maignan, he is a great goalkeeper. He proved it last year by saving Milan in certain situations that could have been complicated, with one, maximum two saves in a game decisive for the result, as a great goalkeeper must do. He deserved the award for best goalkeeper of the year. He and Ospina were the two most decisive goalkeepers,” Silvestri concluded.
