He has won the last three Vueltas in a row

Jumbo-Visma lacks only the last stage before the big win at the Tour de France with Dane Jonas Vingegaard.

But it cannot rejoice all the way because of Primoz Roglic’s situation. In fact, the Slovenian has withdrawn after physical problems and the fracture of two vertebrae due to a crash. Now also in jeopardy for Roglic is his participation in the upcoming Vuelta of Spain, which he has won in the last three consecutive years.

Sport director Merijn Zeeman told Nos microphones: “At the moment there is no decision, but it depends on his recovery. Primoz is not in a good situation, the doctors are working on it. The Vuelta will be difficult, but it’s not certain yet. It depends on his recovery and hopefully he can be there.”
