World League, rematch for the Settebello: beats Spain and goes to the final

First final since 2017, in World League, for Settebello

The national water polo team takes a nice revenge against Spain, which had beaten it on penalties in the World League final in Budapest last July 3: in the World League semifinal, in fact, the Settebello led by Sandro Campagna prevailed just over the Iberians with a score of 9-8, detaching the ticket for the last act of the annual tournament.

For the Azzurri, Nicholas Presciutti, Renzuto, Cannella and Alesiani, author of the decisive goal at 1’45” from the final siren, joined the scorers’ table with a double. A goal also for Andrea Fondelli. For the Spaniards, however, two goals by Sanahuja and Garcia were not enough, and individual markers by Valera, Tahull, Barroso and Bustos.
