Daniel Passarella, family clarifies on his condition
Several rumors have circulated in recent days about Daniel Passarella’s condition. The family of the two-time world champion clarified through a statement, “In the last few hours several illnesses of Daniel such as Parkinson’s, ALS or Alzheimer’s have been mentioned, but we deny everything. Passarella is only going through a period of sadness, with signs of depression due to the pandemic situation that our planet is experiencing.”
Since leaving the presidency of River Plate in 2013, Passarella has not resumed work in soccer even as a coach. In recent times there had been talk of the possibility of returning to the bench based on offers from clubs in China, Qatar and Saudi Arabia.
