A new center for Ravenna

OraSì Ravenna has reached a two-year agreement with Ivan Onojaife, a 6-foot-2 center who played in the B league for Libertas Livorno 1947 in the last two seasons, double-teaming with Pallacanestro Don Bosco (Li) where he grew up.
Born in Giugliano in Campania (Na) on Oct. 12, 2003, Onojaife last year played 25 games in the B series producing 5 points, 4.6 rebounds and an average of one stoppage per game in 18 minutes on the floor. He also earned a Bronze medal at the Under-16 European Championships with the Italian National Team in 2019, teaming up with Nicola Giordano. The two were also teammates in two youth Euroleague appearances with the Stella Azzurra Roma jersey in 2019/2020 and 2020/2021.

“I am very happy with this opportunity, the first one away from Livorno and with an important jump in category,” Ivan said. “They have always spoken well of the club and when the call came from Ravenna I did not think twice. I hope to learn so many new things, I want to test myself and prove that I can stay in this league. In Livorno I leave my heart and I bring with me many good moments lived with the youth and the first experiences in the senior world, I thank the management of Don Bosco and Libertas for giving me this opportunity.”
