The ‘Doctor’ doesn’t hide

Ready for his first 24 Hours, which he will run on the Spa-Francorchamps circuit behind the wheel of Team WRT’s Audi R8 number 46, Valentino Rossi says he is pumped up and, interviewed by ‘Motorsport.com,’ takes stock of both his present and his future on four wheels.

“I’m pretty happy, let’s say I’m more or less where I expected to be,” he said, speaking about his season in the GT World Challenge Europe. “Let’s consider that the level is very high and there are a lot of really fast drivers. As car speed I’m not doing bad, but I definitely need to improve and do more miles during the season to understand how to drive the car in the best possible way.”

“I’m having fun,” the ‘Doctor’ added, “I think we got good results like Misano and Paul Ricard, other times we suffered more, but in general I would say that adding it all up the situation is positive.

The feelings are so good that, for Rossi, the idea is to continue in the series: “At 90 percent I will continue in this championship,” he said, “the program at the moment is this. At the moment I don’t think I will go to Le Mans in 2023, then we will see what happens.”
