How beautiful this Marcialonga is!

The search for the new Marcialonga ambassador has officially begun. Last July 24, the first Miss Soreghina sash was awarded during the Miss Italy evening hosted at the “green” location of the Tesino Golf Club in Pieve Tesino, Trentino. As many as 18 girls paraded before the attentive eyes of the various jurors presented by hostess Sonia Leonardi. Receiving the sash of ‘Miss Soreghina Tesino’ was 18-year-old student from Levico Terme Eleonora Dallago with a strong passion for sports: she practices horseback riding competitively and enjoys playing tennis and golf in her free time. She was honored on stage by Barbara Vanzo, while Mayor Oscar Nervo, along with juror Silvia Baldessari, crowned queen Enrica Rossi of Borgo Valsugana with the title of Miss Tesino.

On Tuesday, 26, however, the spotlight shifted to Canazei, Val di Fassa, where the second evening was held at the Gran-Tobià Theater inside the Hotel Caminetto. The sash of ‘Miss Soreghina Canazei,’ presented by Moena Mayor Alberto Kostner, went to Merano’s Viola Ruffo, a student at the Liceo delle Scienze Umane, volleyball player and number one fan of singer Vasco Rossi. The evening’s winner, Miss Miluna Canazei, was 19-year-old Giulia Barberini, who is originally from Milan but now lives in Trento, where she will attend the University of Languages.

The Miss Italy National Pageant Tour made a stop on Saturday 30 in Pinzolo, in the heart of Val Rendena. In Piazza Carera paraded 18-year-old Elisa Zandonai from Rovereto: beautiful, sporty, smiling and with a strong passion for foreign languages, she practices swimming and gym. Moena town councilor Felice Canclini presented her with the sash of ‘Miss Soreghina Pinzolo,’ while the equally sporty Francesca Stenghel from Pergine Valsugana won the evening instead.

Eleonora, Viola and Elisa thus won the ‘pass’ to go directly to the August 13 finals in Moena for the title of Miss Soreghina. While waiting for the finals, however, there is still one last event scheduled in Scena, South Tyrol, on August 10.

In Moena, the historic starting site of the world-famous Marcialonga ski-marathon next January 29, the new Soreghina will be discovered who will take home the symbolic jewel of the Magnifica Comunità di Fiemme in addition to the cash prize offered by ITAS Assicurazioni.
