Calendar overturned in 2023, MotoGp’s decision: Portugal first Gp

The MotoGp calendar will be revolutionized in 2023. Dorna has made it official that for the first time in 16 years the World Championship will start from Europe, at the Portimao track in Portugal.

For the first time in history, the Algarve circuit will kick off the World Championship: the start is scheduled for March 24-26. Early-season testing will also take place in Portugal. Since 2007, the first MotoGp race has been the Qatar Grand Prix, which will now be moved to another date.

MotoGp meanwhile is preparing to resume the 2022 World Championship after the long summer break: the next round is next Sunday at Silverstone.
