Empoli, another young Italian leaves Serie A
Another young Italian leaves the big leagues
Nice has purchased outright 2002 class defender Mattia Viti from Empoli in a €15 million deal.
This is another young Italian player who chooses to continue his ‘training’ abroad. Recently the most discussed cases have been those of Gianluca Scamacca, from Sassuolo to West Ham, and Lorenzo Lucca, from Pisa to Ajax.
“Empoli Football Club announces that it has reached an agreement with OGC Nice for the definitive transfer of the right to the sports performance of the footballer Mattia Viti,” reads the note released by Empoli, through its channels.
