Wilco Zeelenberg, Team Manager of Yamaha RNF MotoGP, commented on the announcement that Andrea Dovizioso will get off the bike after the Misano Grand Prix.
“Obviously Andrea’s early retirement is not really what we would have wanted as a team, but it is also understandable from a rider who clearly expected much more from his return than he was able to do. We can say what we want, but we can only appreciate his honesty and also his decision-we can’t do anything but accept it,” he related.
