Jorge Mendes in trouble: no one wants Cristiano Ronaldo
CR7’s future is increasingly complicated
For the first time in his career, CR7 is not a hot name in the market. Several weeks after his announcement that he wants to leave Manchester United, the Portuguese has not found a new home and, at the moment, is having major problems with ten Hag, the Red Devils’ coach, who is decidedly disinclined to pamper the superstar.
Mendes, one of the world’s most powerful agents, has offered the five-time Ballon d’Or winner to all the top clubs in Europe but, as Carragher pointed out well, “…there is no one who wants him.” Advanced age and required salary are difficult obstacles for any potential buyer to overcome. A paradoxical situation when one considers that the Portuguese, until a few years ago, was a €100 million-plus man.
If Mendes does not find a solution soon, Cristiano Ronaldo could be living a season as a home separate at Manchester United.
