Lorenzo Lucca, the future is written: comes the announcement from Ajax
The future is now written, and the announcement is official.
The first Italian player to wear the glorious Ajax jersey will be Lorenzo Lucca. The move to the Lancieri of the now former Pisa striker had been in the air for some time, but now everything is black and white. The Dutch club itself on Thursday evening made his purchase official through a statement.
“Ajax,” reads the Amsterdam club’s official website, “has reached an agreement with Pisa SC and Lorenzo Lucca and will take the striker on loan with immediate effect. The Italian player will be sold on a temporary basis for one season, until June 30, 2023. The agreement also includes an option to buy from Ajax. Lucca was born on September 10, 2000, in Moncalieri. The Italian youth national was bound to a contract with Pisa until mid-2026.”
The deal will cost Ajax one million euros, while the right of redemption is set at 10 million plus bonuses. Lorenzo Lucca will wear the red and white jersey number 18.
