MotoGP, Luca Marini’s tribute for Andrea Dovizioso: his wonderful words
A tribute in full swing, with important words, “We could use more drivers like him.”
He does not limit himself in words Luca Marini, who decided to pay homage to Andrea Dovizioso on the day the Forlivese rider announced his retirement. And Valentino Rossi’s brother, at the microphones of ‘Sky Sport’, dedicated a tribute to him in full force: “I think he should not have any regrets for what he did. He fought against the best in the history of MotoGP, and he himself is one of the best.”
Then Luca Marini profiled his colleague: “I think Dovizioso is one of those who never wanted to play like a MotoGP character. He has always been very quiet, reserved, never allowed himself a word out of place. A lot of times, though, to do that you go more under the radar. You are more in the shadows. Maybe that’s not fair, but unfortunately that’s how the world works.”
“I think throughout his career Dovizioso could have deserved more, as respect and feedback from everyone. Both from the public, from the fans, and from the media. Instead he has always preferred to stay very much on his own. And I really appreciate him for that as well, because he is a great person off the track as well. We need more riders like him,” Valentino Rossi’s brother concluded.
