Situation more unique than rare for the unfortunate 18-year-old from Friuli, Alberto Nonino
Mishap for 18-year-old athlete Alberto Nonino at the Under-20 World Athletics Championships underway in Colombia. The Azzurro, a member of Libertas Atletica Malignani of Udine, had an embarrassing problem with his shorts during the 400-meter flat race of the decathlon event: his penis leaked out during the run.
The unlucky sprinter from Friuli, who was probably not wearing a restraining brief, had to put his hands in his shorts several times after the first bend to solve the problem (as many as five attempts at “correction”), thus negatively penalizing his performance and sadly finishing in last place, overtaken by all.
