MotoGp Silverstone: Bagnaia beats Viñales, Ducati and Aprilia dominate
Second consecutive victory for Bagnaia, with him on the podium the Aprilia rider and Ducati teammate Jack Miller
The MotoGp World Championship restarts as it had ended before the summer break: with Pecco Bagnaia’s victory. The Ducati centaur after his success at Assen scored his second success in a row by imposing himself at Silverstone in the British Grand Prix.
The Piedmontese rider, who started from fifth place, immediately climbed into the top 3 and managed to take the lead around lap 12, flying to the finish line. Behind him came a reborn Maverick Viñales, second on his Aprilia after a great duel with Pecco, and teammate Jack Miller. At the foot of the podium were the other two Ducatis of Enea Bastianini and Jorge Martin.
Disappointment for poleman Johann Zarco, who retains first place at the start but crashes on lap five, leaving the way clear for rivals. World Championship leader Fabio Quartararo, also penalized by a long lap penalty for the penalty he received at Assen, fails to move beyond eighth. Aleix Espargarò is ninth.
