The absurd death of Leandro Lo
An absurd death that of Brazilian wrestler Leandro Lo. A bullet hit him in the forehead inside a club in São Paulo: according to initial reconstructions, a visibly drunk man approached the athlete’s table and threatened him and his friends with a bottle. Leandro Lo allegedly pinned him to the ground to prevent the situation from escalating further. Shortly afterwards some of the boys helped the attacker get up, urging him to calm down but, according to the champion’s lawyer, “the man turned around, pulled out a gun and shot Leandro in the head.”
Leandro Lo was 33 years old and a champion of Brazilian jiu-jitsu, BJJ: he had won his eighth world title three months ago.
