Hamilton returns to Yas Marina 2021

Lewis Hamilton, during an interview with ‘Vanity Fair,’ returned to talk about the last race of the 2021 World Championship at Yas Marina, confirming that he has been entertaining the idea of quitting, due to the strong disappointment with the succession of events that, at the end, handed the world title to Max Verstappen.

“I knew that something had not gone right,” he said, “After that race I considered whether or not to continue my career in Formula 1. I really thought about quitting.”

“I don’t know if I can accurately put into words the feelings I had. I remember sitting there, not believing what had just happened. At the moment of unbuckling my seat belt and getting out of the car, I had no strength left. It was one of the most difficult moments of my career.”
