A victory, a smile and wonderful news.

Sinisa Mihajlovic returned to the bench for Bologna-Cosenza, and after watching his team advance the round in the Coppa Italia he briefly took stock of his condition to the microphones of ‘Mediaset’. He also indulged in a siparietto with Fabrizio Ravanelli, his former teammate at Lazio. “How thin you are, you look like me. Only you do cycling,” the Rossoblu coach joked.

Asked how he is doing, then, Mihajlovic replied, “Better and better. I am in recovery, we did everything we had to do. Now I am calm and improving day by day. It takes time and everything, but I am happy and moving forward. I’m not fit yet, because I’m still a little thin and everything. But now I’m aiming to get back to 200 pounds. I want to reach them at Christmas.”

Then a reflection on his Bologna match: “We played a serious, focused, intense game. With quality. We risked little or nothing and created several scoring chances. If we have to find a flaw, they were all chances to capitalize on. The team however did well. We are seeing how many Serie A teams are coming out of the Coppa Italia. Last year we looked bad, this time we left it to others. I’m glad we won, and especially the way we played. Because after the first 20 minutes of tension, we loosened up.”

Mihajlovic also addressed the soccer market and Arnautovic’s future: “Marko and I talk to each other often, we have a special relationship. There is mutual respect, but I cannot say whether he stays or goes. If he stays I am happy, because replacing him is difficult. But if he stays, as long as I am here, he will always do well.”
