Inter soccer market, another door closes
“I am very excited about the renewal; I believe in the project.”
At the center of market rumors that have seen him, in recent times, accosted by Juventus but especially Inter, on Thursday Nikola Milenkovic swept away all doubts about his future. In fact, during a press conference organized inside the Artemio Franchi – and which was also attended by the Violet general manager Joe Barone – the Serbian defender announced that he has renewed with the lily club until 2027.
“It is a very important day for me, for my renewal. I am very excited,” the player began. “Last year we came from two difficult seasons, neither I nor the club were convinced to leave: I wanted to confront the club to understand the ambitions. And the coach was also important to me. So we renewed initially for one year, with the agreement to talk again the following year about my future. There is a great project here, Fiorentina is growing continuously, then the fans have given me so much affection especially in the last period. I must say that the directors and the president have also done a great job to give me the chance to continue my career here. I am really happy,” Milenkovic said.
Thus, another market target for the Nerazzurri club fades away. The purple player had ended up in Beppe Marotta’s notebook as the heir to Milan Skriniar, who has always been insistently sought by PSG and yet still far from signing the renewal on his contract, due to expire next June. The danger that the Slovak could free himself at zero as of next February is growing.
