Jannik Sinner, changes in sight: coach Darren Cahill’s words
“Jannik Sinner needs to become an aggressive all around tennis player from the back who needs to refine his qualities at the net.”
Jannik Sinner’s coach Darren Cahill in an interview with tennisitaliano.it explained the next steps in the South Tyrolean’s evolution. “For me, he is a very aggressive all around tennis player from the back who needs to refine his qualities at the net,” the Australian explained.
“He is not the only one, other can play his game, but no one today can win by playing only one type of tennis, you have to have so many options. He can do that. Even Novak is using a more cutting backhand, because he knows that going wall-to-wall is not always the best option, and he mixes it up.”
On goals: “We didn’t set a specific goal, tournament or number. Jannik can win right away, but it’s a process that takes time. The Atp Finals are important, playing them is a great honor, and that they are in Turin is beautiful.”
