MotoGp, Jorge Lorenzo brings up Valentino Rossi
Jorge Lorenzo explains that the current World Cup is missing something: “Quartararo doesn’t talk to Bagnaia the way I used to talk to Valentino Rossi.”
Five-time world champion Jorge Lorenzo in an interview with Cycle World lamented how the climate in MotoGp has changed after his and Valentino Rossi’s farewell: “Now everyone seems to be friends.”
“Quartararo doesn’t talk to Bagnaia like I used to talk to Valentino Rossi. Bagnaia doesn’t talk to Jorge Martin like Rossi used to talk to Stoner. Today they all have good relationships. For me Instagram and the search for more likes has led to this more friendly atmosphere,” the Mallorcan’s words.
“In a way it’s good for the sport, but battles and disputes have always ignited the fans, like Gibernau with Valentino in 2005, or like Rossi and Stoner, Rossi and Biaggi…. Rivalry was always in the air.”
