Laconic comment from the purple technician

In the press conference to introduce the first leg of the Conference League preliminary round against Twente, Fiorentina coach Vincenzo Italiano also had a chance to talk about the market, specifically answering a question about the new target for the midfield, Turkish national (Dutch-born) Orkun Kokcu.

Really laconic was the lily-headed coach’s comment on the Feyenoord midfielder: “Kokcu? I know him, he is strong and he is good: but he plays for Feyenoord. We all know quality players, he plays in a club that has many and he is an important part of his team.”

“We have new players,” Italiano added, “we need to become better than what we have been able to show so far. Last year we played games in which we were getting what we wanted: this year we are working to repeat and improve further.”
