Mourning in journalism, farewell to Emanuele Giacoia of 90° minute
A RAI journalist for many years, he was the face and voice of the Catanzaro
Another historic voice of 90° minuto has passed away. Emanuele Giacoia has died at the age of 93, after battling, for a long time, with an illness. Born in 1929, he was with RAI for many years before also serving as director of the Quotidiano del Sud.
Emenuele Giacoia is one of many 90° minuto correspondents who have left us over the past few years. At the turn of the 1970s and 1980s, with Catanzaro playing a leading role in Italy’s top league, he was Paolo Valenti’s contact person right from the city of Calabria. Giving the sad news was his son Valerio, also a journalist, via social media.
