Heavy tegola for Marco Giampaolo and Sampdoria: Manuel De Luca will have to undergo surgery. The striker suffered an external meniscal tear in his left knee and will be in the pits for several months.
“U.C. Sampdoria informs that the diagnostic tests and the specialist check carried out by Prof. Claudio Mazzola, the club’s orthopedic consultant, have confirmed the external meniscal rupture of the left knee of footballer Manuel De Luca. The striker will undergo surgery in the coming days,” the club’s statement.
Now Sampdoria will have to decide whether to intervene in the market to try to patch things up or rely on Quagliarella, Caputo and Gabbiadini.
