Stefano Pioli, sibylline message to AC Milan management on market key
Stefano Pioli doesn’t close the door on new arrivals
Fresh from his AC Milan’s convincing success against Udinese and awaiting the challenging away match in Bergamo against Atalanta, Stefano Pioli presented Sunday night’s challenge in a press conference, devoting a significant parenthesis to the not-yet-completed market.
“We have the will, by finding the right situation, to improve certain situations in the market,” Pioli said. “The squad is strong, in defense there is Kjaer now close to 100 percent. New signings? If we found someone capable of further improvement I would say yes, in any case we are already competitive.”
The victory against Udinese has extinguished, at least for a few days, the rumors of a possible ‘appeasement’ among the Italian champion players. Pioli himself confirmed that the hunger for victories is still great: “I believe that the desire to always give one’s best must be part of the ambition of every single member of this group,” he said. “I have important responsibilities, I must always communicate directly. I also have to keep growing, I am sure I will succeed.”
