MotoGp, Pecco Bagnaia and the 7 “allies”: Ducati clear on possible team orders
Ducati’s Bagnaia centaur Bagnaia has to make up 44 points and could get some help from brand mates
Pecco Bagnaia and Ducati believe in it: after three consecutive victories for the Piedmontese rider, the gap with Fabio Quartararo has narrowed to 44 points, and the Ducatista centaur could also receive some help, indirect or otherwise, from his brandmates, or at least have life made easier in some circumstances.
“What we ask of them is respect in overtaking, nothing more,” Davide Tardozzi explained to As. “Then we’ll see. We think race by race and figure out what to do with each of them. From now on we will think about it and we certainly will. I expect at least three more wins from Pecco this season.”
Ducati Corse managing director Luigi Dall’Igna also expressed himself on the issue: “That one should not bother Pecco can already be said, it would be stupid if a Ducati rider bothered him for no reason,” is the clear message sent to Miller, Bastianini, Martin, Zarco, Marini, Bezzecchi and Di Giannantonio.
