During an interview granted to Corriere dello Sport Lorenzo Musetti was clear: “I don’t like to play against big servers like John Isner or Reilly Opelka because they don’t give you rhythm and the match is resolved in very few points.”
“One who could do very well in Flushing Meadows is Carlos Alcaraz. He is very strong on any surface. Physically then he is a ‘beast.’ Land is undoubtedly my natural habitat. If I were American probably my favorite surface would be concrete. My serve and early game strokes I can still improve. In Hamburg I served well at unprecedented speeds. There is still a lot of work to be done on more aspects of my game. At the Us Open I will be top seed, but I will have to be careful not to underestimate anyone,” added the Tuscan.
