Victor Langellotti’s dramatic account, “I had become aggressive.”
Reached by Relevo, Victor Langellotti recounted the problems he had as a result of video game addiction: “I no longer lived with my father and there was no one to control me. I started by playing 2-3 hours a day and got to the point where I was doing practically nothing else but playing games. I no longer had a social life-I was playing FIFA from breakfast until the time I went to bed at 5 a.m. the next morning.”
“I had become an aggressive person. Every time I lost a game I would get angry and break things. By now I was addicted: if they took away my Playstation, I would take the personal computer. It was my girlfriend who moved me: “Wake up, what are you doing with your life?” she repeated to me. I had fulfilled my dream of bike racing and was throwing it in the dustbin.”
Fortunately, Victor was then able to get back on the bubble thanks to the bicycle: “My father called me to propose that I participate in the 2020 European Championships. I weighed 50 pounds more than I do now. I decided to set that race as my goal and get there as best I could. So, I sold the Play, Xbox, Switch, and even the computer.”
